Evan is a Civil Engineering major from Middletown, DE with a Sustainable Infrastructure minor, who pledged as a
member of the Beta Alpha class. Evan is currently involved in two research projects, one studying the behavioral
interactions between bicyclists and motorists at areas deemed of interest by the Delaware Department of Transportation, and the other studying the potential applications of carbon nanotube-based composites as reinforcement
and sensing for use in structural health monitoring. In addition to that, he is President of the UD chapter of the Chi Epsilon National Civil Engineering Honor Society, a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success, a student member of the UD chapter, Delaware section, and the national organization of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Public Relations and Programming Chair for the UD chapter of Engineers Without Borders. Evan enjoys being outside, playing sports, watching soccer, listening to music, astronomy, and hanging out
with the bros. After graduation in the spring of 2016, Evan intends to either enter the structural engineering
industry, with an emphasis on analysis and design, or attend graduate school for structural or architectural engineering.
